10/21/09 - Brooks 1 - St. George's 2 - Official Game Review

Brooks and St. George's met on an overcast day in Rhode Island for an exciting and energetic match. The scoring started early as Mike Violette connected with a service from Pat McGinnis to find the back of the net. Towards the end of the half, Brooks Striker Nick Vozzella executed a skilled turn to goal at the 18 and finished with a well-stuck ball to the far post. The half ended in a draw, challenging both sides. As the match continued, both teams made play dangerous around the net. SG Midfielder Valdair Lopes served a ball into the 6 and a scramble ensued with the ball rebounding into the goal off of a Graham Knisley touch. To the final whistle, Brooks applied pressure on the SG back line, with several opportunities.
