Not much to say on this one. Both teams played well. Both teams played hard. It was a defensive battle for the most part. The pressure went back and forth throughout. Offense???? The official scoring on the game said 4 shots on goal for Brooks, 4 shots for Belmont Hill. But I didn't see 8 shots on goal in the game. Obviously Belmont had 2. The other 2 must have been those long balls from the other side of center that Glen had to pick up. And Brooks' 4?? Hmmmm, I must have been watching the football game. The best opportunity for Brooks came on a great individual effort by Zach to the right of the goal. He maneuvered through 3 defenders and laid a beautiful pass right across the goal. Unfortunately, it might still be rolling as NO ONE touched it. Of course I'm saying to myself WHY?? WHY?? Why didn't you put it on net Zach!!!! And as expected, the answer was, I didn't have the right angle dad. You can't tell from where you are!! Ok, fair enough, but...
The Belmont goals came on a Corner kick, headed by one Belmont player to another who headed it in. Brooks fell asleep on that one. The second one was just a great shot that curved across the net and found the far post. Game over at that point. Brooks is still in 5th place, with the teams in the lower part of the standings up for Wednesday & Saturday. Time to make a move Brooks!!
