9/26/09 - Brooks 3 - Roxbury Latin 4 - Official Game Review

Visiting Roxbury Latin earned a hard fought victory against a strong Brooks side on a beautiful afternoon in North Andover. At the start of a true back-and-forth contest, Latin ran out to a 3-0 lead in the first 40 minutes on two first half goals from Leon Brown and one from Adrian Reifsnyder. Brooks - with one just before half and two in the first 20 minutes of the second - stormed back with their own string of three consecutive tallies, paced by fine attacking play from Nick Vozzella, Zach Vieira, and Jon Stronach. At that point, the talented back four of each squad took control and stymied determined efforts by each attack. In the 83rd minute, Leon Brown broke free to tally his third goal to win the game for the visitors. Both teams deserve great credit for their tenacious, resilient efforts.
