Boys Soccer Wins Home Opener
The First Team captured its home opener over a very strong Phillips Andover side before a large crowd on a tremendous 88th minute effort by Nick Vozzella. The Brooks Captain beat three defenders on the endline and managed to deliver a ball across the goal to junior Drew Myers, who deftly converted to break a 1-1 tie. It was Myers' second goal in as many matches. Brooks began the game well, dominating and freshman Zach Vieira found the back of the net in only the tenth minute. After a strong first half for the home side, PA began to gain control of the midfield and scored a very well constructed goal from the left flank in the 71st minute. Brooks' defense was sound, however, as Emerson Rogers and Andres Burbank-Crump, both celebrating birthdays, along with impressive freshman Sam Milbury anchored the back.
