11/6/09 - Brooks 2 - Nobles 0 - Official Game Review

On a fine late fall afternoon, Brooks and Nobles played a spirited addition to their long soccer rivalry. Nobles carried the play in the early going but gradually Brooks gained some territorial advantage and a goal from senior Emerson Rogers in the 26th minute on service form Andres Burbank-Crump. Both sides found numerous chances in the second half but effective finishing was not in evidence. Burbank-Crump was spectacular in thwarting dangerous play from both Phil Hession and Oliver White. Brooks effectively counter-attacked through Jon Stronach and finally found another goal as Zach Vieira handled a 2v1 break well and finished cleanly to ice the match. It was a very well played match with enthusiasm and fair play in ample evidence.
